The material that you contribute should be true. The truth is a defence to actions in libel. Further protection against libel issues from the well-founded public interest in the information being shared, deriving (at a minimum) from coverage in the Globe and Mail. This dimension of public interest renders opinions offered more likely to be construed as fair comment. Comments offered, however, must be the honest opinion of the subscriber.
When you press the send button, you are accepting responsibility for the veracity of your statements and the honesty of your opinions.
Keep in mind, also, that if you send a comment to this site, you should not be surprised if it gets published on the site. I'm assuming you are consenting to having your comment posted here.
I will only post the initials of contributors, with no other identifying information, unless you explicitly ask me to add more.
As a rough conversational guideline, it's probably best not to stretch your 2 cents out to a $10.00 contribution. To the point is better than rambling; though, yeah, yeah, I'm no one to talk.
Please attempt to keep profanities to a minimum. (It's a tea party, after all.)
